Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot is one among 13 Universities of Health Sciences in the Country, which is making a niche in the Medical Education over last few years. It has five faculties of various health sciences, 146 affiliated colleges and about 35000 students are on roll with the University. In addition to the various courses pertaining to the health sciences, the University has unique distinction of running skilled courses in as many as 60 streams which shall develop human resources which is a great need of the society. These skilled Courses are in line with the thoughts of Hon'ble Prime Minister. The University is committed for transparency, accessibility and problem solving approach to the students and maintaining standards as per statutory bodies like MCI, DCI & INC. The University and its affiliated colleges are putting every best effort to increase its infrastructure, so that ambience of better learning is created.
In order to keep its standards, for the first time, the University has started doing surprise inspections of various affiliated colleges with an objective to improve the quantity and quality of regular faculty, infrastructure, so that training program becomes a goal oriented and of national standard. When on one side we are imposing code for ideal teachers, then on the other side we also expect that students entering the portal of this University should dedicate themselves for study only, so that they should come out as excellent professionals.
Following successful implementation and experience of online Entrance tests, online counsellings for admission to various courses, the University has started E-evaluation of theory papers in various professional examinations. It is the second University in the country to implement the E-evaluation of theory papers.
The University now has started web portal exclusively for the examination branch which shall mitigates numerous hassles related to examination branch.
